Heating Technology

With regular maintenance, heating systems can reach an average service life of 15 to 20 years. Necessary maintenance tasks include regularly cleaning the heating surfaces in the heat generator, as well as checking the control devices and the burner settings.

Not only the heat generator, but all the components of a heating system should be serviced and inspected at regular intervals. Defects such as developing leakage, faulty or missing insulations, as well as broken valves, safety devices and thermostat heads are identified and repaired. These measures protect the system from more extensive damage and the unplanned breakdown of the heating system, and also cut down on energy costs.

The efficiency factor of regularly serviced heating systems is approximately 8 to 10 percent higher than that of systems which are not regularly serviced. Without maintenance, the efficiency factor is reduced every year as energy consumption soars. The same amount of heat will cost more and more money while the environment is polluted with additional emissions.
